FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a method of reliably transferring files over the Internet. To upload files into your personal webspace (or hosting space) you will need an FTP client. One of the most popular is CuteFTP. Please note that you will need to set your particular FTP program to PASSIVE MODE to be able to use it successfully. To set up CuteFTP to access your personal webspace:

Creating an FTP Connection: CuteFTP
With CuteFTP open:

  Close 'Tip of the day'
When the 'Site Manager' window appears click on the 'New' button

Fill in the fields on the right hand side with the following information:

In the 'Label for site' field type 'ISP Doctor'.
In the 'FTP Host Address' field type 'ftp.ispdr.net.au'.
In the 'FTP site User Name' field enter your ISP Doctor username.
In the 'FTP site Password' field enter your ISP Doctor password.
Ensure 'Login Type' is set to 'Normal'
  Click on 'Connect'

In the new window, locate the files on your computer you wish to upload to the server by finding the directory they are stored in. To do this:

Click on the little black triangle in the left window pane. This will drop down a list of locations you can browse for your file.
Select the files you wish to upload and then drag them from the left hand side window to the right hand side.
